The line of a mountain, on the object
The Silbûs Collection is built on the outline of Silbûs mountain. The ridge, the snow lines and the geographic coordinate are laser-engraved into metal and glass.
This collection has one rule: the line of the mountain is not touched. We do not decorate the outline and we do not simplify it into something you could no longer recognise. Whatever the ridge does, it does on the object too.
The coordinate beside it is not decoration. A place name can change, and it can carry a different meaning depending on who is saying it. A coordinate stays put — it is the plainest and most exact record the object can carry.
